The game's combat, though satisfying, wasn't anything particularly special. Not only were all the traditional MMO roles represented, but there was enough variety within those to appeal to whatever variants players wanted to make of those roles. This fostered a great amount of community, even early on, since level restrictions were practically nonexistant for 80% of the content in the game- and the 20% that level mattered for, well, you could always level down to participate in them, temporarily.
